Lake Owen Camp is tucked in the forests of northern Wisconsin. It is a great getaway from the city life. It has skateparks, gyms, and a lake, an action sports fan's dream. Lake Owen is a very cool summer camp. Kids go for the skateboarding, BMX, gymnastics, and cheerleading. Lake Owen has three skateparks and two gyms. The camp is located on the water of Lake Owen in Cable, Wisc. The camp has a waterfront with a slide and a blob. The waterfront also includes a swimming area and boating activities. The skateparks and gyms include “instant replay cameras.’’ They are in the main areas of the gyms and skateparks so that the skateboarders, gymnasts, and cheerleaders can see the move that they had just done on TV screens near where they just performed the move. The camp was interested with filming the Lake Owen Camp experience, so it has a couple of cameras for the kids to use. The camp has a “Cleanest Cabin Award,” in which each cabin is scored on a point system each day, and, at the end of the week, the cabin with the most points is rewarded with an ice cream party. There are several competitions of strength and speed, including the Warrior Dash and Ultimate Challenge. The camp also has a climbing wall and bungee trampoline. Kids can eat at the Canteen (pay), Cafeteria (free), Fajita Grill (free), or Burger Shack (free). The camp also has a TAP’d program in which the councilors pick the best campers and give them a discount to come back for another week that summer. The camp is great for the gymnast, skateboarder, BMXer, or cheerleader in your family. For information, check out the website at www.lakeowen.com.
