Duluth Airport Shuttle
In order to assist with transportation, we offer a shuttle from the Duluth International Airport in Duluth, Minnesota, on the Saturdays prior to and following each camp session. This is a chaperoned service for Lake Owen campers and staff only.
All incoming and outgoing flights must be arranged between the hours of 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm on Saturday prior to and following the camp session. This time has been established to discourage long waits at the airport and to ensure that campers have a chance to settle in before the session begins on Sunday.
On the trip, campers will stop for supper and then continue their travel to camp, where they will meet their Stay-over counselor and fellow campers. There will be meals and some recreational activities provided until the session begins on Sunday afternoon.
The cost for the shuttle service and the overnight stay at LOC is $75.00. One way-seats are available, but at the round-trip cost of $75.00.
A two-week advance notice is required; however, spots often fill quickly, so please plan accordingly. (If there is still availability, we will be happy to accommodate any last-minute requests.)

Chicago-Area Chartered Bus
In order to assist with transportation, we offer a chaperoned, chartered bus from Hoffman Estates. This is a service for Lake Owen campers and staff only. The bus departs for camp early on Sunday morning and returns to Hoffman Estates on Saturday afternoon.
The round-trip cost is $195.00. One way-seats are available, but at the round-trip cost of $195.00. Due to our contract with the bus company, we are unable to coordinate any alternate pick-up or drop-off locations. No exceptions can be made to this.
During the trip, there will be one stop made for a lunch break, typically a McDonalds or another fast-food type location. Please remind your child to leave enough money in his/her camp bank account for lunch on the way home.

Cable Union Airport
The Cable Union Airport is a small municipal airstrip located less than 5 miles from Lake Owen Camp.
If arriving by private plane, we offer a shuttle from Cable Union Airport for no fee. Call to arrange pick-up to coincide with check-in and departure times. A 48-hour notice is required.
